I have a 1 HP jet pump for irregation that came with the house. I was told the well is 60ft down. I have never touched it until it didn't work this year. (except draining it for winter). Well it went to heck apparently and from the look of it, I want to replace the whole unit. My dilemma is that every time I look at jet pumps they say I need a shallow (up to 25 ft) or a deep (up to 90 ft) ejector unit. My current well pump does not seem to have this "ejector unit". So what is an ejector and do I need one? How the heck did they get this thing to pump without one for the last 6 years?
