No it is NOT my Model A!, it's 6 V
This is a little kids battery powered car that has given Uncle Gary headaches ever since my wife bought it. The battery was wired backwards, blew up the charger ( which wasn't wired up backwards, took 3 months to get a charger, another couple months for a battery, etc, etc....
I replaced the battery with a riding mower battery, and re-wired the connectors for correct polarity, it's been good for a year. Now I have switch problems, I don't have rev or low. There are 2 6 pole switches that are operated by a "gear shifter" . The back switch is Rev and Lo, and when the lever is all the way forward, it's high. The switches look the same from the outside, but they are not interchangeable. ( I tried switching them and got nothing) Finding the correct switches isn't going anywhere. I would be satisfied if I could just get a Fwd-Rev switch that I could hook up. There is a on-off "gas pedal", so I really don't care about not having 2 speeds. What kind of switch will I need? It has to be somthing that will reverse the flow of electricity? Any pointers I can look for??
Thanks!
