Which Sump Pump Type

Looking for a new sump pump and was wondering which way to go. I have always used a pedastal type, as has my parents for 30+ years, but was wondering if the submersible would be any better?

My pedastal pump I have now is fine, but I had a pump burn up a couple years ago on me and would like a have back-up, either one on the shelf or the battery back-up pump set-up with a new primary pump.

I was looking at the Zoeller pumps: either a M84 pedastal or their "pro pak 53" which their M53 primary pump with a M507 back-up on 12VDC. Any thoughts on which system and of Zoeller?

I'm assuming Zoeller is still American made.....

I'm open to any ideas.....
