One thing I did notice is the submersible, if 1/2 hp like the pedastal, moves more water.
One reason I'm nervous about another pedastal is that on the last one I had, the switch failed. The motor overheated and failed. Not sure if I want to deal with that again.
Good point about the flows on the cheaper back-up systems. Not really worth it unless I'm spending $600 for a system.
