Hi Todd, nice to see you posting again. I have never used the shark connectors and I will not be much help there. The only plumbing jobs that I do are repairs around the house and I have not had any problems lately. The last big plumbing job I did was putting a bathroom in my basement. I soldered the copper pipe in that project.
I am from the old school and have always been a little scared of pressure, clamps and compression fittings since I had a compression fitting pull loose under the kitchen sink and flood my kitchen.
I have never been impressed with plumbing parts and fixing leaks has always been a problem. I call some of the plumbing fixtures Mickey mouse since they seem to always be on the edge of failing. I have never been impressed with the plumbers tool box either that usually has a pair of Channellocks or water pump pliers that rounds off hex fittings.
I may try one of the shark connectors next time if it is in an easily accessible location in case it leaks. Give us a report when you start using the shark connectors and your opinion after use.
