This is all purely hypothetical fact-finding at the moment for future projects. I had the opportunity to fondle a 12x12x9,3x74R Drillings which handled well provided you didn't mind the weight ... ten years ago I'd have thought nothing of carrying it all day but now that I have a hard time draggin my own butt around most days and the never damage in my arms is getting worse, carry weight has become an issue. I'm giving serious consideration to building a 20ga x 20ga x 9.3X74R or even on the lighter side, a 24ga x 24ga x 6.5x52R.
I've also considered a standard SxS or o/u double rifle/smooth combo too. This is something I've put some thought into, I had a Savage 24V in .222rem/20ga but the excessive bulk & weight made it a complete turn-off. Done properly, I'd tend to think this is something you couldn't have just one of such as the big bore combo of 12ga/.45-70 or on the small side a 28ga/.22 Hornet.
So let's here your: turn on's, turn off's & personal preferences.
