How safe are they?? I have a wood ladder that has to be at least 50 years old, will reach about 25 to 28 ft., always stored indoors. The joints appear tight, but that wood has to be really dried out. Don't want to be 20 ft up when it decides to break. Not worried about the fall, it's the sudden stop at the bottom! Needs to hold 200 lbs. Any experiences out there?
