No doubt about it, the movie was a wash. I was seeing 1 flash while multiple casings were being ejected. It took a slow motion sequence to see this. I guess I did not phrasing my question correctly.

Is it normal to see a 50 cal machine gun to produce just one flash for 6 or 7 rounds being fired?
