Well, alot of you dont like it, but it works fine without the solenoid. I have charged several batteries, and even jumped off my dead truck with it. Im not rich enough to have this thing professionally repaired, but it works great, no problems. as for the saftey feature, my smaller charger lights up the leads without a battery being present, so whats the difference? Anyways, thanks for the help, and advice..
