Thanks guys. Last to first; tech, I was going to use it to hold a crankshaft pulley. This car has ac which is largely hard plumbed. I can't fit any of my impacts in there. A real stubby 1/2" would fit if they make them < 6" . The book even suggested a chain wrench. I started to make a tool to pin fit the 4 holes in the pully and am in the final welding stages- Then I said h**l with it and went to Sears and they were out of them. Then Home Depot didn't have them either so back to fussing around.
Noel, I like the vice grip version for other things. Lots of things and Doc,yeh, I'll check Rigid, they may have some other designs.
But most likely before that I'll finish this tool since i put some time into it. It's designed so that the pin carrier wrench is a reenforced ring and the breakerbar and socket ride against it to keep it from popping out. At 20" its handle will lie across a structure in the vehicle or I put a pipe on it if gonna pull out the mounts or something.
