It was very kind what you said. It would be somewhat better if I was working on Your car and did like this. My Dad was in a position once to buy a small full service garage and there were major decisions. He opted not to and there were discussions with my Mom, things I didn't understand. Not to drag this on but he realised he wouldn't make any money on this stuff because he spent too much time with each issue. Well for what ever reason the torque was too low on many things from even the recommended and I've learned a lot more about this engine.
A certain friend highly recommended a certain red sealant for the water pump so I will go with the black tarry stuff which never failed me. The semi-hardening black Permatex that stays in your fingerprints for two weeks. I did find a dry idler bearing and that is on order.
It is my luxury to be able to communicate these things with You and other folks who obviously know so much and have aided. There is not one person on this board I can think of who wouldn't checked to see if a key was too short or had slid back too far before closing it up. The indidcations are that the same bunch were in the oil pan at one time-so- we may have a different type conversation in the future or not. Thanks.
