i have just aquired one of these chargers with no mains plug on it with a rubber colour coded mains lead with the on it and obviously american colours of white, black, and green,on testing the lead out to the metal case not one of the cables were down to earth so i opened the front cover up and found that the black & white cable was connected to the r/h switch that has off marked on it, and the green wire from the mains lead goes to the 6/12volt switch, and nowhere is there any internal connection the a safety earth terminal or any connection to the charging crock clips, anyone any ideas why it isnt earthed in the event of the case becoming alive through a fault.
