On the side of a hill, belt drives work better. The hydros are too sensitive and end up zig-zagging along. Forget the sulkys, the sit downs have to be so far behind the handles you end up stretching to reach them. The stand-on units take out your knees. And both are hard on the drives. Hill people have different requirements than flatlanders.
