At least you have good excuses, I'll admit to mine being a combination of CRS & I.D.10.T faults.
Parker O-ring lube is good too, actually any of the heavy bodied non-drying silicone lubes work well, only caveat is they must be food-grade if used in potable water systems. Word of warning too, don't recall on the others but the Dow brand BVL is quite potent ... get it on your fingers and water isn't sticking to your skin for days. Don't ask how I know that...
