Oh, for that one use the thicker teflon tape made for gas line use - the tape usually is colored yellowish or pinkish but you can definitely feel the thickness difference. On a metal to metal NPT joint RectorSeal #5 is my first choice for liquid dope. Avoid Herculese brand except for the GRIP version, the rest are pure worthless crap - I lost over $10,000 on a job because the Herculese blue dope was totally worthless! Untold thousands of joints made with RectorSeal #5 and never a leak.
