No idea, but maybe a hex hole in the center of the disc mating to a hex arbor, or some shape that would not spin on the arbor. Maybe some totally new quickchange design where you simply snapped the discs on and off the arbor. Maybe some type of pin setup where no threaded nut is used. No idea, but it seems like a huge opportunity for a tool designer, as well as a forward thinking power tool company, to tackle. The current designs are a hundred years old.
