Thailand has some great facilities. In 1977-78 I helped coach the Thai team for the 78 Asian games. At the time the facility was the National Stadium near Chula in downtown Bangkok. New facilities were then built at Kasetsart University for the 78 games. A few years later the Japanese built Sanamkila Womak (near Ramkampang) which was used as a training facility complete with a tramp and several spotting rigs. China supported a coach. A few years ago I asked to use the facility but they turned away their former coach. There is also a great facility at Thomasat Universities facilities in Rangset. I have also heard that Chaing Mai and Trang also have facilities. If anyone can update this I'd appreciate it. Thailands competing divers are pretty good and if it weren't for the intensity of The Chinese diving program they would have more podium finishes in asian comppetition. (Everyone seems to have that problem though.) I'd be interested in knowing more about facilities in Asia and elswhere its resonable to travel.
