This is a new extender for the coating industry - the first small production run will be in April. Forecast annual production will be 100,000 tons in the first year. Samples are available for evaluation - trials indicate that the weathering properties of powder coating materials incorporating this material will be considerably improved. Rust creep is noticeably reduced with the added benefit that it is unaffected by either acids or alkalis. Colour is transparent, hardness 6-6.5, SG 2.65. Due to the lower SG of this extender, improved mileage of your powder can also be expected. Cost will be equal to or lower than that currently being charged for BaSo4.
