Note no www. and it ends in .htm. Powcal is a great additional tool for those who carry out powder coating. It can be used in several ways: 1)To calculate the amount and cost of powder required for a specific area. Data Input Please let me know of any problems or if Powcal has been of any help to your business. Terry

2)As an on going cost performance check. Input of current film weights being obtained can be compared to the original costing.
3)As a tool to compare costs at different film weights.
4)Comparison of two powders with different specific gravities.
5)Is there a cost saving by changing to a powder with lower specific gravity but higher cost
Section “A”:All data in section “A” may be altered, however we suggest that for powder data input that the solids remain at 100%.
The efficiency may vary and we suggest for plants with a good powder reclaim system the figure remains at 85%. For plants spraying to waste we would suggest that the figure be altered to read 50%.
Specific gravity will vary powder to powder and may require your input.
Section “B, C & E”:Do not enter any data into these sections.
Section “D”:Input powder cost (any denomination may be used) and area to be coated. Section “E” will then automatically calculate the amount of powder required and the cost.
