As a kid my nonna sang a song which goes something like: Sa mari da sur piero vesti di nero. Colara si del bianco ...( I'm likely way off base to the spelling -I remember it phonetically) I think there's an english song of the same melody(but literal translation??) "My mother gave me a nickel to buy a pickle. I didn't buy a pickle . I bought some chewing gum Chew chew chew chew chew chewing gum . How I love chewing gum"....etc.
All the old folks are gone now. Anyone think they know this song?
