[Why We Missed Shockwave Part I] [Chris Prodigy pouts, he sits inside Kate's dorm room, the curtains barely open enough to see out. The rain lashes down outside, it doesn't often rain in Florida, but when it rains it pours. Kate has had her nose stuck in a book for the past month now and he is bored, not only bored but bruised. It was no accident that Prodigy Inc missed the flights to Belfast] Chris "Kate I'm bored" Kate "Find something to do.." [Kate appears in the room, her arm in a plastercast, she is wearing a dark purple sleeveless shirt and a pair of demin baggy jeans. a book held in her hand on the arm which doesn't have the plastercast on. Kate has on a pair of half circle glasses with a purple frame, her hair which the colour has faded from is now a dark black, some hints of blonde remain.] Chris "You always have your nose stuck in that book, Marketing course...pfftt" [Chris rolls over and lays with his chest to Kate's bed, her duvet a mess from the night before is a white duvet with some flower pattern on it, it looks like her grandmother packed it Chris says. The bed hasn't been made, from the night before, or longer knowing Chris. Chris has a "Jesus is my Homeboy" trucker style baseball hat, tilted just to the left of his head, he has a Drunken Monkey black t-shirt and some baggy jeans on.] Kate "Last time we went and did something I ended up up like this" [Kate gestures to her arm.] [Chris grins] Chris "I got bruised, it was an accident!" Kate "Doesn't mean it didn't hurt" [Flashback time, heres the story of how Kate broke her arm, Prodigy Inc missed the flights and how Chris got bruised.] Chris "Come on Kate, we are going to be late" [Chris yells in the door way of Kate and Taras apartment, which he has been pretty much living in, despite the fact he only lives next door. The sun is splitting the palm trees that line the grass out the front of the apartments they live in. Chris has his sunglasses perched upon his head as he tries to keep everybody calm. Carrie has already got to Belfast, but Kate and Tara has exams so the boys from Prodigy Inc decided to catch a late flight] Kate "I'm just finishing packing now" [Kate trails her suitcase out of the doorway, Chris slings his bag over his shoulder...guys don't need much stuff anyway. Bryan is already down with the taxi putting his suitcase in the trunk as Tara yells for Kate.] Tara "I can't decide what to bring!" Kate "Did you pack your roller blades for the roller park?" Tara "No, not yet" [Chris rolls his eyes, while thinking into himself "women"] Chris "Listen I'll take your stuff down to the cab, help her pack, and before you ask, yes I did pack my skates!" [Chris grabs Kate's bag, which is really heavy, but Chris being a man pretends it isn't at all heavy as he struggles out the door with it. Chris drops it into the truck of the cab and sits in back. Finally Kate and Tara appear from the apartment with a dandy little suitcase, which has taken Tara about two hours to pack.] Chris "How can it take that long to pack so little?" Bryan "I really have no idea man" [The ladies finally join them in the cab, the cab ride to the airport is pretty swift, but Chris and Bryan keep checking the time, knowing the departing time for the flight is soon, they can't afford to miss this flight. Chris quickly jumps out of the taxi ands pays the driver before dashing off into the airport to check in.] "Good afternoon sir" Chris "What's up, I need to check in, hurry" "No problem" [The over nice women behind the desk starts processing his ticket. He does the needful passport checking, she does the same for the rest of the group.] "Your gate closes in five minutes, you left it very late" Chris "Yea you are telling me." Bryan "Lots of time bro" [The woman hands over the tickets, Chris smiles and starts to move.] Tara "So what gate Chris?" Chris "Ticket says..." [Chris pauses to read it] Chris "twenty-three" Bryan "I'm sure we can't be that far away from it" [Bryan stops to ask one of the airport staff, his face drops as he recieves the answer. He turns back to the group and begins to tell them.] Bryan "Other side of the airport..." Tara "This might be a bad time, but i need to goto the ladies room." [Chris rolls his eyes again.] Chris "Ok we'll still make it, just put on the roller blades" Kate "Are you being serious?" [Chris flumps to the airport floor and begins strapping on his rollerblades.] Chris "Deadly serious" [Kate shakes her head at her crazy boyfriend, but starts strapping her skates on anyway.] Bryan "Listen i'll wait on Tara finishing and catch up with you guys" Chris "You'd better step on it when you do, our else you'll miss the flight!" Bryan "I will" [Chris starts skating down the airport, Kate quickly overtakes him always having been the much better skater.] Kate "Smookkeeddd" [Kate torments Chris as she goes wizzing by] Chris "Watc..." [THUMP!] [Kate smacks clean into an old ladies luggage and goes head over heel before hitting the floor with a thump. Some guy who saw it rushes over to Kate, cutting in front of Chris, not giving Chris time to stop.] [THUMP] [Chris ran into the guy head on and the guy and Chris both lay the floor, Chris gets to his knees and goes over to check on Kate. She is quickly surrounded by airport staff and passers-by. Chris "Come on you have to go to hospital" Kate "What about Shockwave?" Chris "Screw Shockwave your more important to me" Kate "I hurt my leg and my arm, how are you supposed to get me to an exit" [Just then Bryan and Tara pull up in a luggage cart.] Bryan "What happened here?" Chris "I'll explain on the way to the hospital" [Chris with the help on Bryan puts Kate on the luggage cart and then Bryan hops back into the drivers seat.] Bryan "All Aboard!" [Chris looks and Tara who silently shakes her head. Chris grins.] Chris "I'll not ask"
