Posted by Jack Cross on July 1, 2004, 2:39 pm - Early December 2003: Finally fed up with Jack ignoring their orders regarding his television/radio company. Jack's employers, The Russian government, sent out Mr. Ravil Davydov and Mr. Fredrik Thompson into Canada with the intention of purchasing MITV and ridding Jack of all ties to the Russian North America program. The purchasing of MITV and 'Radio, Radio' went off with out trouble. Jack found himself Thirty-two Million dollars richer under the conditions that he never enters Russia ever again, never becomes majority owner of any media company and keeps silent about the Russian North American program and his involvement in it. The same night Fredrik Thompson honourably discharged Slava Yakolinov from the Russian Spy program. No compensation was offered. Mid December: Unbeknownst to Jack and Slava, Ravil and Fredrik remained behind in the United States of America and began tracking the two, keeping an intricate track on their movements, making sure that they were keeping their word and not talking about the project. Pre Reindeer Games 3: In the days before the show, Ravil Davydov paid Katerina Czerkawski, a Ukrainian student working as an escort to help pay tuition, to 'get to know' Jack Cross in attempts to get him talking about the Russian spy program. After several failed attempts to first track down the elusive Jack, she finally found and duped Jack into talking about the program during a conversation in a coffee house. A conversation of which Ravil was monitoring from the park across the street, via: voice recorder and a wireless microphone. He later followed the pair off to the, 'Yorkshire Bed and Breakfast'. Also to add to the tension between Slava and Jack, Jack violently attacked his manager Joshua Peterman for reasons undisclosed the night before. The wounded Josh later went to Slava and Svetlana for medical attention. Jack was nowhere to be found till after RG3 had already started. Reindeer games 3: After several failed attempts, Ravil Davydov with the aid of Fredrik Thompson managed to sneak backstage, posing as rookie security guards who arrived late, through all the backstage stress and excitement, few noticed the pair, or asked questions. As the show progressed, Ravil eventually made his way into the audience and set himself up for his attack. Meanwhile Fredrik Thompson planted a letter written to Jack Cross and planned a getaway. Post NAE/Red Axis match: Much to the surprise and delight of Ravil, both Slava and Jack were attacked and taken out by the returning D. Lep following their win over the NAE. Leaving only an already injured Josh guarding Svetlana on the entranceway ramp. A quick hop of the guardrail and an attacking with a lead pipe later, Josh was down and Svetlana was being dragged backstage and eventually out of arena. Leaving Jack to find the letter Fredrik had placed earlier.
Author's note: First off I'd like to thank you beforehand for reading my series. As some of you may know, I've been delaying my storyline for the past year in anticipation of this match; I had absolutely no idea that it would have taken till July for this opportunity. As a result, I feel a quick recap of events is in order as to refresh the events leading up to this series in everybody's minds: (Please keep in mind that some of the below recap has not been covered in earlier RPs, but is added for an ease of understanding of the story or is recapped from a different point of view to provide more back-story.)
October 2003: Vyacheslav Yakolinov's refusal to execute Jack Cross ends in a suspension handed out by the Russian government, a closure of all bank accounts owned by Slava and excessive passport tampering. Leaving Slava and Svetlana stranded in North America with out a penny. As a result, Slava is forced to live on his earnings as a wrestler.
