The scene is a somewhat familiar one. Well... to the people who watched NPW quite often. When we open up today, the infamous Trashtalk Backdrop is back. However, it's an IWA version. There is a large IWA banner in the background, and a smiling figure of Canadian idolism. It's his birthday, but he doesn't care. Danny Vicious, former three time NPW TV champion (amongst others) is reintroducing his brain child. Decked out in a pair of jean shorts and a powder blue North Carolina Tarheels basketball jersey (a gift from Doug and Daryl Rock a couple years ago), Vicious tugs down on the bill of his silver N.Y. Yankee's cap. He streatches upwards, and scratches his neck. After cracking said neck, he leans forward. Danny: You ready yet man!? Vicious glares impatiently off camera, where some shuffling and banging is heard. A few seconds later, Adam Delicious steps out. He's smiling, and has a black West Coast Chopper cap over his long blonde hair. Danny looks him up and down, frowning. Danny: Dude... you're ALL WRONG. Adam gives Danny a confused look. Adam: What do you mean, wrong? Vicious frowns, throwing his hands in the air. Danny: I wish I had remembered you were as stupid as most blondes. Look, man. You're supposed to be all hardcore and shit on the backdrop. You're not turning my brain child into a rambling pussy show. And right now, you LOOK like a pussy! Adam looks defensive. He gives himself a one-over, and looks back at Danny confused. Adam: What the hell are you talking about? Danny sighs. He points first to Adam's red and yellow beach shorts. Danny: First off, those shorts. What the hell are you doing? Going surfing or wrestling? When was the last time anyone was afraid of a surfer? And the colour scheme. Dude, we used to KILL Hulk Hogan, not try and LOOK like him. A few techies, setting up the rest of the set, laugh. Danny ignores them and continues raving, this time pointing at Adam's yellow tank top. Danny: And that top. Unless it has the last name "Bryant" or "O'Neil" on it, DO NOT WEAR A YELLOW TANK TOP! Big Bird must be rolling in his smack-filled nest right now. Rule number one of style, DON'T wear clothing that matches your damn hair colour. The exception is black. Black goes with anything. Follow me. Danny walks off screen, Adam slowly following. In the background, we can hear stuff being tossed around. Some glass breaks. A hockey stick flies by the camera shot. Followed by a little pink stuffed teddy bear. Danny: WHAT THE #### IS THAT!??! Adam: It's my hair curler. Danny: You ####ing pansy!! Adam: At least I can keep my hair! Danny is heard smacking Delicious. Danny: Here. Put this on. Some more fumbling is heard. Danny walks back on screen, followed seconds later by Adam. He's dressed in a pair of semi-baggy black jeans and a white Nike t-shirt. Danny has let Adam keep the Chopper cap. Hell, it's the only thing he did right. Danny: Alright. Now you're DRESSED to smacktalk. Now let's hear what you got. Vicious walks off the scene. Standing there for a few seconds, Adam glares into the camera nervously. Finally, he begins his rant, as we can only picture Danny tapping his foot offscreen. Damn impatient bastard. Adam: Uh... well... welcome back to the Trashtalk Backdrop. I'm Adam Delicious... the host for this. This week I'm battling three people I can't stand. Ronnie Long, Jeffy Andrews and Heidi. Last week, Jeff, you beat me by throwing your power around. But this week... you won't. Because you suck. Danny: *Off screen* CUT!! Vicious storms on screen, frowning. Danny: Man... you call that Trashtalk!? You are NOT ruining this! I brought it in to TEACH you, dammit, and teach you I will. Danny turns sharply, looking at the camera. Danny: I SAID TURN THAT DAMN THING OFF!! How long has it been... Before Vicious can finish, the camera goes blank, and we have nothing. Nothing but wonder. Wonder as to whether or not Adam can actually complete a half decent Backdrop promo. Oh well... we'll have to wait and see.
