[After Crusade was over Destiny, Danny, Brenna and Holly headed back to New York, Destiny and Holly had stopped off at the apartment while Danny had gone to check on a few things and was going to meet Destiny back at his place so Destiny could get Holly settled and check on things at her place too. Destiny showed Holly where everything was and was going through her mail while they talked.] [Destiny, wearing a pair of black jeans, grey Nike t-shirt and a pair of white ankle socks was sitting at the table going through the mail sorting out what needed to be dealt with then and what could wait. Holly, wearing a pair of jeans, white t-shirt and white socks, was sitting on the couch looking out the terrace door. The day had turned out to be a hot and muggy day, the girls didn't bother changing yet as the apartment has air conditioning and they don't feel the heat or the mugginess.] Holly: [looking toward Destiny] I wanted to thank you for taking me with you guys to watch the show. I had a good time. Although I thought you shoulda had that second match you were in with Wilde Tanke wasn't it? Well if it weren't for the b###hes interfering that is. Destiny: [Not looking up from the mail but answering Holly.] Yeah. They are just lucky I wasn't going to waste my time on them. Holly: It's a shame that they had to interfere in order for him to win though. Destiny: [chuckles, still sorting through the mail.] Yeah it is eh? Pretty sad to say the least. But ya gotta do what ya gotta do to win. Holly: [turning her head looking back out the window of the terrace] Guess so eh? [Destiny, looking up from all the mail, looks over in Holly's direction, wondering how long she is going to stay, she certainly can't afford to keep the apartment in New York if she plans on moving to Florida. It doesn't make much sense in her travelling back and forth so much between Florida and New York all the time. And besides she really wasn't enthused to be on a plane anymore than she had to be.] [She looks back at the bills sorting out the most current ones, writing checks for them and putting the checks in the respective envelopes to be paid later that day. She tore up all the old bills, gathered them up, walked over toward the kitchen and tossed them as well as the junk mail into the garbage. She walked back over to the table and started going through the rest of the mail. There was a letter there in handwriting that she didn't recognize. Looking a little puzzled she picked up the envelope and started to tear it open. She gets it open and pulls out the letter. Unfolding it she begins to read it.] [Holly turns her head and looks over at Destiny, about to say something to her then notices that she is reading a letter and decides to wait till she is finished. It is right about now that Destiny's expression starts to change, her right hand going up by her mouth as she continues to read the letter. Holly turning her head back to look out the window but notices a magazine on the coffee table and picks it up. It is one that Destiny had been looking through the last time she was home. Holly, not noticing Destiny's change of expression, starts thumbing through it stopping at a couple of articles and taking time to read them. She glances over at Destiny, who is still holding the letter, and sees the look on her face. A kind of look that almost scares Holly. The color has drained from Destiny's face as well. Holly sets the magazine down on the table and gets up off the couch walking over to Destiny, taking a seat at the table next to her.] Holly: Hey...you alright? Something wrong? [Destiny very slowly looks up and turns her head toward Holly, still holding the letter and not saying anything. A worried look on her face.] Holly: Destiny, are you ok? Hello... [Holly reaches out and takes the letter from Destiny and starts to read it. Every so often glancing up at Destiny as she continues to read, Destiny's expression doesn't change and she still doesn't say anything. Holly continues reading then folds up the paper setting it on the table.] Holly: What are you going to do? Destiny: [putting her hand up by her mouth, her fingers just under her lower lip, then looking over at Holly] ... I .. don't know. I wasn't expecting this. Holly: [Reaching out and touching Destiny's arm] It'll be alright. It isn't like he knows where Danny's is and you will be safe there. You are going to tell Danny aren't you? [Destiny looking a little more scared, her eyes getting a little wider at the thought of telling Danny, not from what he will think but because of how he will react.] Destiny: [sighing then closing her eyes then opening them a moment later] I thought I left all this behind me when I came here. That was the whole entire purpose of me leaving that shit hole. God, Holly what am I going to do? Danny is not going to take this well at all. [Holly looks at her best friend with compassion, wanting to help her and knowing that she can't makes it even more frustrating for her. Destiny has always been there helping her whenever she needed her and now when Destiny needs her there is nothing that she can do about it and it drives her nuts.] Holly: [a little aggitated] I don't know hun, but you have got to tell Danny. If he does happen to show up and something does happen to you he'll be sort of prepared. I wish there was something I could do. [looking down as she fidgets the paper, then looking back in Destiny's direction.] Destiny: I know you do Holly but this isn't your problem. It's me he has a problem with, I never thought he would follow me here. [getting angry] God damn it!! This wasn't supposed to happen! [Getting up off the chair she walks over to the terrace door looking out, one of her arms folded across her chest, the other hand touching her bottom lip. Looking back over at Holly still over at the table, turned in Destiny's direction her left arm laying on the back of the chair.] Destiny: [still speaking angrily] I was supposed to come here and start a new life for me, not relive my past all over again. It might have happened years ago Holly, but I am still scared. The thought that he knows where I live makes me feel sick to my stomach. [a panicked look comes over her face] God Holly you can't stay here, what if he decides to come in here and thinks you are me?! I couldn't bare the thought of something happening to you. Holly: It's like Fort Knox here Destiny, you need a key for this door you need a key for that door, god you practically gotta sign your life away to come up here. [laughing] I'm not worried about him coming into the house and besides the apartment has enough locks that will stay locked I'll be fine. If I have any problems I will call downstairs. Destiny: [not satisfied with the answer] No Holly, I don't want to take that chance. You are the closest thing I have to real family and I will be damned if that asshole gets in here and tries to do anything to you. He could easily come through the door with someone else in the building and try to get in or even wait outside somewhere. [she closes her eyes at the thought, opening them back up she continues] You need to stay somewhere else till I figure out what to do. Holly: [sighing and retreating knowing that she isn't going to win, when Destiny has her mind made up.] Ok, ok, fine I will go stay somewhere else. Destiny: [sighing a sigh of relief] Good, we can go check out hotels if you want, pack up some stuff for a couple of days at least, till I talk to Danny. Holly: Ok, I'll be ready in a few minutes. [It's a little while later and Holly is settled into a hotel room. She is lying on the bed reading a book. Destiny walked her to her room and made sure she was safe before she left the room to go to Danny's.] [Destiny is on her way to Danny's. Lots of thoughts go through her mind as she looks over on the passenger's side of the Hummer where the letter is sitting along with the bills that need to be paid. They are going to have to wait she thinks as she puts her attention back to the road. There is so much to talk to Danny about and she doesn't know where to start.] [Holly will be ok for a few days in the hotel but there is no way that she is going to be able to afford to stay there for very long. I have to figure out how I am going to tell Danny all of this. There is so much to tell him and no idea where to start.] [Destiny sighs heavily as she continues to drive toward Danny's. She figures that Danny and Brenna should be back to his place by now if not Danny then Brenna ought to be. She would have some company before Danny would get home at least. She wouldn't go totally insane thinking and worrying about telling Danny. Stopped at a stoplight she closes her eyes for a brief moment sighing again. Opening her eyes again she reaches over and puts the radio on. The light turns green and she starts to go again. She drives a little while longer then turns onto the road where Danny's place is. Pulling into the driveway she sees Danny's truck in the driveway. She stops the Hummer and sighs. Dreading telling Danny about the letter as she reaches over and grabs it off of the passenger side seat. She turns off the vehicle and gets out grabbing her bag from the back. She heads toward the house.]
