William Jacomb & Ann Blood struck a cord. The dates don't quite match but these 2 names together seem too unusual to be a different couple. Matilda Ridley is tied to this line in a document I found at www.jacombs.demon.co.uk/family_history/names/decendants/desc_ind2145.html
My father Richard Karl Jacomb had a search professionally done about 30 years ago. In it William Jacomb (born 1781, Southampton) is married to Annie Blood (1802). William is my 4x Gt. Grandfather. The line goes back through the first born male another 7 generations to John Jacomb (born 1595, Burton Lazar) married to Mary Marston (1617). This line is quoted as being the "Direct line of Gordon Edward Brewer Jacomb, founder of the Scottish branch of the Jacomb Family, through the first born male"
The whole line is as follows (3 John Jacombs with partial info is all that was legible from a family bible damaged by fire in 1700):
