Hello all
Please excuse this message but I am a PhD student studying the history of the London and South Western Railway. As such I am interested in two Jacombs who were resident engineers of the company.
William Jacomb, while being a student of Brunel, was resident engineer of the London and South Western Railway between 1870 and his death in 1887. J.W. Jacomb-Hood also held the post between 1901 and 1914. I was just wondering if anyone knew of whether any of their papers survived anywhere, or if anybody had any information on their time at the company.
Many thanks and Best Wishes
David Turner
