JACOMB'S IN AUSTRALIA AND NEW ZEALAND

Congratulations on getting started.
I am interested in the Australian and New Zealand branches of JACOMB, most of whom are descended from Robert JACOMB(1788,London - 1853,Melbourne)and his wife Catherine Wright ELWALL).
Robert, an ex naval officer, arrived in Van Dieman's land,(Tasmania),Australia in 1833 aboard the ENCHANTRESS. He moved his family to Port Phillip(Melbourne) in 1848.
His children were:Robert Elwall(1825-1902),Henry(1830-1859),Catherine(1832-?),Jane(1834-1843),Virgina(1836-1854),George(1838-1879),John Newton(1841-1891),Rupert(1846-1899,New Zealand)
I have done a lot of research on Robert, mainly in Tasmania, and have made contact with a number of his descendants. Happy to hear from anyone interested in the Jacomb family.
