Hi Judith, I'm not sure whether I replied before
My gggrandmother Alice Jacomb was born in Swinford
Leicestershire in 1796 and died in Cathorpe in
1839.
She married Joseph Towers in Cathorpe.
She was the daughter of John Jacomb and Elizabeth
Pettifer who were married in 1790 in Swinford.
They are all a little later than yours but there
could well be a connection.
