During my childhood in forties and fifties I lived at 18 Pleck Road, Walsall. At 6 Pleck Road lived John Jacomb and daughter Doris. I did errands for them including fetching the coal from Parkes coal wharf. I had to call them uncle John and aunt Doris. So obviously we were related.
During my bit of family research I find that in 1881 census my great grandfather lived at Jacombs house at Upper Navigation St. Walsall.
After leaving Pleck to do national service I lost touch and have often wondered what happened to them when Pleck Rd ceased.
