At this point you generally have enough money to buy up the remaining land and change everything to crystite. Generally, I would not go a whole game with only focusing on one commodity. I normally look for what everyone else is NOT producing and trying to monopolize on those markets while keeping the colony successful. -Dan

Well basically that is a question that does not have a definite answer. Yes, for the most part crystite is more valuable although, as you probably know, smithore makes MULES. Without smithore you have no MULES and cannot develop your plots.
