I've heard him as Fafner only in Götterdämmerung (the Levine recording) but he also sings the role in the Sawallisch 1989 Rheingold. Could be interesting. I hope to hear that recording soon.

It's obvious that Fasolt fit Talvela's voice better than Fafner but it certainly would be interesting to hear him as Fafner. I'm not sure if he sang that role. He did sing Hagen a couple of times though his voice was too gentle for that role too.
