Freia is molested by giants, so there is some reason to moan, don`t you think.
Your plan to listen to the complete Ring with all the mentioned recordings and really digest that is a major task and will take time and dedication but is a great experience-it can be- at least if all things come together, both an emotional and intellectual insight and of course your personal taste and understanding will develop in the run.
I always found Herodias very annoying(R.Strauss Salome)
