Both recordings are IMO indispensable. Boulez is focused - as was already said - on dramatic dimension of Parsifal. Karajan tends to explore the musical richness of this work.
In Boulez, there are masterly creations of Gwyneth Jones and McIntyre (of which may be fond especially those who know this pair also from Boulez` Ring). Karajan`s singers are perhaps more subordinated to the conductor but - in their own way - also perfect.
Moll`s excellence in the part of Gurnemanz is well known. Yet, I believe that Crass is at least on the same level. Listening to him, one easily forgets some widespread opinions that Gurnemanz tends to be boring.
