Here is a 25' panorama of german soprano Leonie Rysanek's career on stage, beginning with a B/W Helena of Egypt at the end of the fifties and concluding with an outstanding excerpt from her recent Klytemnätra in Genova (1990, audio recording available in my list). Except for Salome (Tokyo 1980, see the complete item in my list), the most of the complete recordings from which these highlights have been taken (Walküre Bayreuth 1965, Parsifal 1984, Elektra 1990) are still to be discovered...
