Posted by Rob "Lossless" means the music file contains all the data from the original. MP3's are not lossless. Converting MP3 to a lossless format does not make sense because you cannot regain lost audio information - it only takes up more space on your computer. If your music files are originally in a lossless format (like .wav .flac .ape .shn .m4a) then you can use a program called 'dbpoweramp' to convert between them, and also to convert them to 'lossy' formats like .mp3. I don't know about what format i-tunes uses though, hopefully someone else can answer that for you. I can't tell the difference in sound quality either, so I'll convert to .mp3 for my mp3 player and keep the original lossless archived for burning to cd. Cheers,
