I think it would be also counterproductive to Schlingensief's intentions by filming it. He changes something in the production every time it is performed, thus keeping the audience in suspense. By locking down one performance, you lock in Schlingensief. And he refuses to be defined by one performance. That would be the performace artists in him. I don't agree with the principle of a mutable Wagner, but that's how I see Schlingensief's approach.
