The Japan/Bayreuth Tristan certainly has a huge historical importance: Nilsson, Windgassen and Hotter in a Wieland Wagner production. It is also a very good performance (though not my favorite). Everybody who is interested in Wieland Wagner and Bayreuth should watch it. But the problem is that it was filmed with only one camera in black and white. For that reason it's not very enjoyable to me. It may be to somebody else though.
