I think that, for the 1st time, a new audio/video format is going to do justice to Wagner.
The Ring from Weimar would be just another, if were not for the almost unbelievable sonics! True live dynamics, almost palpable timbres...it is good to be a little cautious, though, with the Rheingold Wotan: a mere beckmesser, and a weak one at that!
