yea, gotta love those folks.......with drug houses close by, the cops probably don't feel like enforcing the ordinance about how you can't park on the lawn (we have it here, I imagine most if not all municipalities have it) actually.......
....we'd been here for about 10 years when this came about, we'd been putting cars on the parkway, especially when the kids lived here, by neccesity, but one morning I came out & there was a parking ticket on mine, I called the cops & said, "what gives"? they said that I don't own the parkway, its the cities, & you can't park on it.......I said thats stupid, we'd been parking there for years, why all of a sudden is it a problem? then I said, "well, the I'll just park on the front lawn, whaddya think of THAT, Barney?!?" whereuponse they said theres an ordinance against THAT as well.......SO....., that was the end of me spending any time or money (other than the 2 minutes it takes to mow it) maintaining the parkway, if the city has such a boner for it, they can schlep over there with the $14.95 weed-killer-stuff, or hack down the suckers that grow on the Elm tree (time+wear&tear on tools, and the cost, brush pickup is $3.75 a bag, etc-etc-etc)......we think our esteemed neighbor to the North, Richard Crainium is the guy who called the cops about the parking as a retalitory-strike, hes connected at city hall, more on this guy in the followup to Tmans story......(more.....on....MORON!!! thats a JOKE, Son!!)
