We all knew that, at most, 34 cars would show up because Lotus was delayed in their engine development. It's been in the paper, on TV and on sports talk radio a lot.
Ticket sales were down because everyone knew there were only 33 cars that were going to qualify, and if a 34th showed up it would be another Lotus and no one gave a whoooopdy doo about them.
Besides, the "T" car thing is just a mirage this year. As explained by CrockerFan on his excellent post on May 2 ( http://members5.boardhost.com/johnandrettifan/msg/1335936580.html ) there are no engines in those backup cars - you have to move your engine from the primary car to the backup car. It's all well and good to sign up to drive Helio's backup car (3T) but if there is no engine you're going nowhere so long as Helio is driving the 3.
I would imagine for not listing them was a practical matter of there not being any engines for the backups but people probably asked about them so much that they posted them anyway.
