Part of the job is talking to the media. You can't pick and choose which parts of your job that you do, why should he?
They haven't been able to get his attention through probation and fines - as recently as Darlingon, he was still on probation last week, and his response to a reasonable question on a subject HE raised was to tell the reporter that "probation means he can't beat the (expletive) out of him".
I have no sympathy, even though I hate watching someone commit career suicide. He's talented, but not irreplaceable, and unless he finally realizes that, he'll be back racing at the Vegas bull ring.
