Other sports have actually been setting the standard for other sports with huge fines for ill spoken comments about their sports governing authority.
Panther racing owner fined for comments.
Miami Heat owner fined for comments.
Dallas Mavericks owner fined.
Marlins Manager was even fined for just expressing his political opinion many times about how "he loves Fidel Castro".
If Finch had said the same thing to a reporter that Kurt Busch had said, I have no doubt it would have been a six digit fine instead of the $50,000 fine to a driver.
I wonder if nascar would fine finch $150,000 if he were to attack Kurt Busch like Richard Childress did with Kyle Busch.
