a part of me is nodding, the fact that this is the 4th time Kurt was out of line with a media member in the past year (Joe Menzer, Jenna Fryer, Dr. Jerry Punch and now Bob Pockrass, makes me not want to give him the benefit of the doubt.
He knew he was on probation, as he even mentioned it.
Everyone has worked with people they don't like. You can't go around speaking to them like that, though - not and expect to keep your job. He's a veteran of a dozen or more years. He's been removed from rides at Roush and Penske. He's no raw innocent rookie. There's no excuse.
The bad part is the collateral damage that comes out of the very public notice that Kurt cannot be redeemed. James Finch tried to help him (OK, and himself - LOL) out, but Finch can't be expected to keep running full races with no chance of attracting sponsorship. He was a S&P team for much of the time - this is costing him a fortune, especially since Kurt has wrecked more cars in 14 races than Landon Cassill did all of last year.
Every driver who has gone through this has learned. Even Tony - he doesn't make direct threats - he learned from his mistakes. No one is asking them to be choir boys - just minimally human.
