One of my one and only gripes when I bought my house back in 2000 was the area I bought it in didn't really have many local bars. The couple in the area were sort of like local/farmer hang outs. Since the economy has tank we've had 5 new bars open within a few miles of my house, Youngers Irish Tavern, Art & Jakes Sports Bar, Santino's, Jake O'malley's Irish Pub, and the Hamlin Pub, and all 5 are doing real well. Whenever you drive by any of them the parking lots are full.
