Indy Car would like to go there this fall 2012, but MIS isn't going to pay them what they want for the sanctioning fee. Like I posted below only one ISC track has an Indy Car date this year and they had to get an exception to do it. This is what Roger Curtis said about it last week.
"I think it would be great," Curtis said. "But even if they decide that MIS is the place they want to go, we'd still need to talk about that financial model and how that's going to work. It has to make sense for us and make sense for them. Ultimately, that's what caused us to put [IndyCar] on the shelf [after the 2007 race]."
Basically MIS isnít trying to get back on IndyCarís schedule, IndyCar is trying to get back on MISís schedule. Right now the sanctioning fee is more than MIS can make on ticket sales so IndyCar is going to have to drop the price to make it happen. Right now I would give it an 80/20 of not happening. Take Care
