so far this year in F1 they are averaging less than 5 lead changes per race:

i'm not going to average up the whole season last year but there were 2 races with zero lead changes and 8 races with 3 or less lead changes out of 19 races, so more than half the season had 3 or less lead changes:

so far this year sprint cup is averaging 19 lead changes per race:

last year there were 93 lead changes for the whole year in F1, last year nascar had single races with lead changes of 74, 88, and 72 lead changes.
in 2011 F1 had 2 more races than indycar, yet 15 less lead changes.
i know nascar has it's issues, as does indycar, but there is proof that there is more excitement, meaning racing for the lead, in nascar and indycar than F1.
