but I've always been one who's believed these feuds and who don't get along with who are more made up by the media, and it's all for the fans benifit to try to spark interest in the sport sort of like the good guy and villian in big time wrestling.
How often did Bobby LaBonte and Tony Stewart really have to deal with each other? It's not like they're required to be at the shop and work together Monday through Friday from 9 to 5. Sure they have team meetings and stuff like that, but drivers have days off during the week, and they're out doing stuff for their sponsors during the week, and how much do they really have to deal with each other at the track on the weekend? Don't the drivers pretty much hang out in their motorcoach with wives and children unless they have to be in the car, or have a sponsor obligation at the track?
I don't know? You'd have to have pretty thin skin to walk away from a multi-million dollar contract just because you didn't get along with your teammate.
If I was making millions of dollars a year driving a race car my teammmate could walk up to me and defecate on my shoes, and I'd shake it off, and walk away with a grin on my face thinking about the millions I was making.
