Posted by Craig In 1996 I went back home for my mom's funeral. It was about deer hunting time in November. While back in Rice Lake I went up to the high school to see a cousin of mine who works there and was shocked to also see an old lust of mine from high school. While I was talking to the lust, this blonde woman walked out of the office. I looked at her and thought "HOLY CROW!! Thats Jean Anderson!!" She walked up to my old lust and me and I said to Jean "do you remember me? (I had last seen her 29 years earlier when we moved from Cameron). She looked quizically at me and then said I looked familiar but she wasn't sure. I then said "Do you remember kissing me during a basketball game in the 5th grade"??? She looked at me...got a HUGE smile on her face recognizing me, hugged me and said "hello." I then said "so I dont need to mention the water incident in Mrs Switzenbergs 3rd grade class???" A look came over Jeans face I will never forget and she said "if you mention that in here you will NOT be walking out of this school using both legs!!" It was great seeing her again. I was back in Rice Lake in 2004 for the 35th class reunion. On Friday night we had a kegger at Narrows Park where her husband was in attendance. He didn't bring Jean along, and I wasn't there for the formal dinner on Saturday night that she was going to attend, so I didn't get to see her. I sent her an email once suggesting that she buy multiple copies of my book and use them as required reading for her literature classes she teaches at Rice Lake. Not sure if she ever did that.
