Posted by julie schultz You are right on about never knowing how long we will be around this sometimes-great-but- sometimes-sorry-ass planet. My husband (our age) had a heart attack a year ago. A surreal experience, especially, I'm sure, for him. He lost 40 pounds, gave up the brandy/water for red wine, and briskly walks 3-5 miles a day. He also retired on July 1. He and his brother owned the funeral home here in Medford. The stress was literally killing him, so he opted out. No regrets. None. I am awed by all these memories. They were good days, weren't they...growing up in little old Cameron. Kind of like one big, happy, sometimes-dysfunctional family. I often share your expressed feeling, Craig, that you don't like change. Most kids don't pass the time fashioning fake tapes of Mau Mau tribe pen pals anymore. Oh well.... Yes, my sister is a hoot. Durng some dark hours long ago, she was the only person who could make me laugh. Julie

Hey Craig (Keith, Jean, etc),
Well, now I am into my second yummy cocktail...voldka collins...tastes a lot like lemonade only with a nice little kick! I never really liked the taste of beer (although no one, and I mean NO ONE, in RF would have believed that), in fact, during my freshman year I use to plug my nose while drinking it. Odd but true.
And Jean....if you read this, there is something I always wanted to tell you: Presently, on my livingroom coffee table there lies a perfectly intact book titled "Wings of Silver". Inside you wrote "to the best friend in the world". Right back at ya, kid.
