Posted by keith Mrs. Robel was Cameron's first full time teacher of art. Like you, Craig, she put me further off art. Prior to that most art classes were under the direction of the classroom teacher. However, during 3rd grade Mrs. Bronson was hired as a 6th grade teacher, and during her free periods she would periodically visit various classrooms and present a lesson. I enjoyed those classes, unlike all other art classes. I think she may have done this for just a couple of years, though I'm not sure about that. What a load that must have been for her on top of her regular classroom responsibilities.

It didn't help any that the art room across the from the study hall was basically a long closet. We were jammed in there like sardines and had almost no elbow room to get anything done - I hated it. Today that room is used as the teacher's lounge, and it's still too small for that function.
